The 26-year-old has not received permission from his club to train with the Belgian side’s U18’s, yet has proceeded to do so less than a week after he was also given a talking to from Ole Gunnar Solskjær for leaking the results of a speed test in training.
It was Lukaku’s day-off on Monday and it’s believed United didn’t find it a big issue that he had chosen to spend it training with the Belgian Pro League club. However, he was expected to report back to Carrington on Tuesday and failed to do so by continuing to train in his home nation.
Lukaku is also said to be ‘baffled’ by the way Solskjær has responded to Paul Pogba’s hints about a move away in contrast to his own professionalism only resulting in being cast-away, costing him the ability to train with his new club this summer before the 2019/2020 campaign begins.
The striker is said to have found an agreement with both Juventus and Inter Milan and with the Serie A transfer window not closing until August 23rd, however replacing him is unlikely due to the Premier League’s early transfer deadline that slams shut on Thursday, August 8th, at 5:00pm.
The Red Devils have reportedly refused to comment on Lukaku’s AWOL situation but are expected to hand the number-nine a big fine, having already asked him to return to Manchester.
