Youri Tielemans is a target for Manchester United should Paul Pogba leave the club this summer, according to the Independent.
With Pogba rumoured to be 'open to a return' to Turin with Juventus, United would need to find a suitable replacement for the Frenchman and Tielemans has been identified as the man to fill the void.
The Belgian has impressed whilst on loan at Leicester City from AS Monaco since arriving in the Premier League in January and now has United, Tottenham and the Foxes looking to sign him on a permanent deal.
The Red Devils have also been linked with a move for Leicester's James Maddison, just a year after he arrived at the King Power Stadium from Norwich City in a deal thought to worth £20m. Now, however, Maddison's value is reported to be £60m.
Tielemans opened up about speculation over his future ahead of Belgium's Euro 2020 qualifier against Kazakhstan, telling reporters: "Leicester is a large club, but at the same time very family-orientated. The second half of the season went very well. The level was high, but I know my own level and knew that I could handle it."
“In Monaco, they have seen that I have developed well. After the season, Monaco and my management found an agreement. A transfer this summer is therefore possible. I want a stable future and not to change club every year, so I am aiming for a permanent transfer to a club in a top European competition," the 21-year-old continued.
"A permanent one because I don't want to be loaned out again. I want to be able to settle somewhere with my family and so I'm looking for something stable. In my opinion, Leicester is also a top club, or it can become one. They have a lot of ambition there. But I am not fixated on England. I am open to everything. I am open to many clubs and I am positive."
