Real Madrid believe they can sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba as well as Eden Hazard this summer, according to the Times.

Pogba turned down Los Blancos to return to Old Trafford in 2016, but with United finishing another season in a disappointing fashion, a move to Madrid is said to be on the cards for the midfielder.

In order to lure Pogba into a move to the Santiago Bernabéu and convince United to sell, the Times say that Zinedine Zidane is happy to part with Gareth Bale, Keylor Navas and James Rodríguez in exchange for the Frenchman.

All three have been linked with a move to Old Trafford before, with Navas on the verge of a swap-move with David De Gea until the fax machine incident. Bale has reportedly been a target of Ed Woodward’s since he was set to leave Tottenham and Rodríguez also rumoured to be of interest to United since Columbian made a name for himself at the 2014 World Cup.

In Spain, AS say one of Pogba’s aims is to win the Champions League and he believes he is capable of doing so in Madrid. The 26-year-old revealed in March that the La Liga club are a dream for any player, saying: “As I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. There is also Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football. For now, I’m in Manchester. We don’t know what the future holds. I’m in Manchester and I’m happy.”

Last month, ESPN revealed that Ole Gunnar Solskjær was ready to offer Pogba captaincy at United in a bid to convince him to stay at the club with current club captain Antonio Valencia set to depart on a free transfer. Ashley Young is also in line, however, with a lack of playing time expected next season with United in the hunt for a new right-back, a vice-captain would also need to be selected, and Pogba, provided he remains in Manchester, is likely to be named in that role.
