Both Paulo Dybala’s agent and Juventus Sporting Director, Fabio Paratici, have travelled to London for talks with Manchester United over a possible swap deal with Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Italy.
Lukaku had been edging closer to a move to Antonio Conte’s Inter, however, the Serie A side have been taking too long to meet United’s demands and Juventus have now entered the race for the Belgian.
The Argentinian is believed to want to stay at the Bianconeri, but newly-appointed Maurizio Sarri doesn’t have the attacking midfielder in his plans, with Lukaku the priority for the former Chelsea boss.
The Guardian report Dybala wishes to hold talks with Sarri after he returns to Juventus training on Thursday to see where his future in Italy stands before giving the go-ahead for negotiations with United. The 25-year-old’s agent was in London for talks over a possible move to Manchester on Tuesday, with Juventus Director Paratici also travelling to the capital of England on Wednesday, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
As for Lukaku, the United forward would have ‘no problems’ moving to Turin rather than at his original choice of Milan and if a deal was to happen, the Belgium international would earn a salary of £7.3m a year. Should Dybala be convinced to reunite with Paul Pogba at Old Trafford, United will have to make him one of their highest-paid players, Fabrizio Romano reports.
